RE: Does this seem wrong?
i dont think i would ever buy anything as big as a turbo kit on ebay
as for mustangs there are a very select few of the newer ones that i would actually drive no matter how fast they are.... the best mustangs were made all the way back in the 60s. for example:

Aford-2bolt main windsor blockis not good for more than 400horse. Reliable wise. Unless the person is going to use a valley girdle and a main web girdle for extra strength.
Plus most windsor blocks had very low nickle content which isnt good for more than 450horse. Sure you could run 400+ maybe even 600 but it would be a matter of time before the block splits clean down the middle. Go on streetfire.net and look up How the stock ford block gave up or blew up. Thats a video of a 5.0 mustang going down a strip and blows the block clean in half. If the 302 is i believe a 72 or 74 and prior year casting date-its good for making power. If its a run of the mill 75+ 302 windsor-its just a disaster waiting to happen! Tell him to look up jegs/summit for aftermarket windsor blocks. Even any aftermarket cast iron block would have a much higher nickle content garunteed.

RE: Does this seem wrong?
a stock block handling 500hp ain't shabby and the mexican blocks can handle slightly more. or you can get an aftermarket 302 shortblock for ~2 grand which can handle way more power. and to be honest if your aiming for over 500hp, your not gona be looking at a stock 302 out of a foxbody.
and what do you mean "tell him to look up jegs" who's him? or did u just copy and paste that from somewhere?

Yea 400+ horse would crack many a 2 bolt main, you need to go four bolt to build big power. Of course stock stuff is going to break when your talking 400+ ponies. thats a lot of stress of a motor. but regardless it was just a weird find on ebay, seeing what the prices are on true stuff its a joke to think of using that as something to make real power.
