does pre-owned warranty cover suspension?
Hi All -
I have a question. I bought a pre-owned 2001 A4 Quattro in December of 2003. At the time it had 35k miles on it, came with a 100k mile limited warranty.
I've been happy with the car in general, but I just took it in for the 70k service, and the dealer reported that one of the tie rod ends was warn - the cover was torn and this had caused premature wear.
Apparantly this work is not covered under my warranty. Unfortunately I am in the process of moving and don't have access to my warranty paperwork. Can someone confirm that typical limited warranties don't cover this? I'm a little surprised, it doesn't seem to fall in the "normal wear and tear" category that's exempted. 70k seems a little early for this to go out, too.
Thanks!

RE: does pre-owned warranty cover suspension?
"normal wear and tear at 70k?" would be hard to prove on suspension because of road conditions I have seen lots of cars come through the station for new springs because of the road conditions
