This is the first part of a two part social experiment, so bare with me on this - I'm rather curious what everyone feels here.

the movies never made me what to go faster i guess it is just the feeling of being pushed back into my seat that makes me want to go faster

 

i love cars, but i go fast when its only me around, and its safe, and only time i race over speed limits is on the track!

 

More people are doing it because of the increase awareness of racing as an organized sport, and the ever increasing aftermarket supply of less expensive go-fast parts. Before racing wasn't in the mainstream media and it was just available to the few people who had the funds to support their hobby/pasttime/addiction. Now almost any enthusiast with basic mechanical knowledge and a little cash can be a weekend racer. Only idiots watch movies like F&F then go "race" on public roads endangering lives. I don't regard that as racing.

 

Hmmm...the only one to pick, "none of the above"? I just REALLY enjoy cars and I love DRIVING all of my car, not just the first 10% all of the time. Call me crazy, car crazy.

I once drank so much that the next day my body felt like pure death, my legs and arms didn't function, all of my internal organs were bleeding on the bed next to me, and my brain felt like it was on the verge of blowing clear out of my head. I'd find it hard to do that very often, so there is no way I'd be able to compare with you on an everyday basis. j/k
