details n resistor mod!!!

RE: details n resistor mod!!!
*sigh* ok, my CEL went on for the EGR System, wich is unimportant and stupid. i did some reading and theres a mod, where the wire connects to the sensor for the EGR, you can put a 10 ohm resistor (from a circuit board or radio shack) and put it in the male part of the connection, probably have to reset the code again, but the CEL wont come on, and it givess you more around town zip. hence rendering the EGR Valve, usless, but now theres the valve,
wtf do i do with it? get rid of the sensor and loop the hose straight back to the engine with no sensor and tkae the 3 way connector that leads fromt the vale to the engine and intake and just make it from valve to intake?

10 ohm resistor lol when all you need to do is blank the EGR valve off ( this must only be done with the engine stone cold left over night is best and don't even turn the ignition on in fact don't even put the key in ), this mod doesn't effect the emissions and it give a little more BHP the EGR is a pain in the butt

quick explanation as to why you need to do it when its cold and ignition off = if you turn the ignition key on or the engine is up to operating temp the EGR is activated in the ECU so the system sees it, when its cold and ignition is of the EGR is in the closed position so the ECU cant detect it so when its blanked and you turn the ignition on it wont see the EGR system so will not activate ( the EGR valve has to be left in the system of course ) so the system is fooled into thinking its still there

well thats bad ***!!!!
so all i do is buy a new gasket, and a little plate, and put that plate in between the valve and the gasket, and do this when the engine is cold.
so i dont have to remove any hoses? w00t
