very cool man.!! what did you get your suction mounts? i have been contemplating on buying one from ebay.. but am curious to where you got yours..

 

I bought this mount, everything you see in the picture, from www.chasecam.com

It's the SM31 mount. RedGoat sent me the 2nd mount, the SM30, for use outside the car.

The 2 JVC Hard Drive camera's I bought won't work outside, because they have pressure monitors built inside the case by the drive, and it will shut off the camera if a drastic change in pressure occur's. I'm going to have to go out and buy a DVD camera for some outside the car shots on the rally.

 

ya im looking for one i can use inside and outside the car.. looks like a sweet setup man ... cant wait to see some video of the rally

That is a cool mount. Now you need another one that is pointed at your dash/speedo, so you can do some sweet multi-shot editing.

If you are getting another camera anyway for the outside shots, you might as well get another interior mount, right?

What is the production budget for this rally? If I can get my own party bus full of groupies and you are going to have a really nice caterer, then I might consider coming along. Well, if you also gave me a producer credit.....

Yea, I've been making some crunch time preperations... I bought a new set of tires and wheels, because I didn't want to run my winter tires down there at high speeds, that's just asking for trouble. Picked up a set of 19" Pirelli Pnero Zero tires... Should be fun, more last minute changes to come!

YES! I should be putting one together tommrow if the weather is nice. I picked up my 3rd and final camera the other day, a DVD camcorder. I was having some issues using the Hard Drive camera's outside of the car, so this one should work fine. I should also be getting my 19" AT Italia Razze's on tommrow, so I'll post up some pics as well.

I'll keep everyone posted on what's up as soon as it happens!
