RE: decent place to live in MD....
you wouldnt dare do anything even remotely close to "slugging" in philly, unless of course its catching a small chunk of lead in your chest. This place kinda freaks me out having grown up in Sydney, AU heh.

Yabbut, I think he mentioned that his company was HQ'd in Columbia. I don't think the DC metro has a line out that way. SO he'd be betR off checking the area w-nw of the Baltimore beltway (I-695). Prices any nearly as eye-watering as points s-sw & s-se of there. Not REASONABLE, by any stretch, not not AS eye-watering, I don't think. Then there's Fredneck... Oops, Meant Frederick, sorry. Home prices haven't reached the rob-a-bank-to-make-the-down-payment level..., YET!!! Maybe by the end of this year. Fredne...SCHITT Frederick also has teh benefit of being only about 30-35 minutes up I-70 from the Columbia area. If I were making a similiar choice I'd head for Frederick, or some community between Frederick and Columbia off of I-70.
