OK, so s4sweetee wants more out of the forum, have you heard of the Cylinder Index?

Well, there's a radio show on up in the midwest called Garage Logic. Garage Logic is all about logic that stems from whatever you do in the garage, and it's main character is a character called Joe Soucheray.

Now, Joe is quite the guy, and has come up with a Cylinder Index to rank a guy's (or gal's) wherewithal.

According to garage logic, the greater your cylinder index, the more chutzpah you have, so you count up the number of cylinders you have in your possession, on your property, that actually fire and produce some sort of result.

For instance, I have a meager Cylinder Index of 30:

3 6-cylinder autos = 18
1 8 cylinder truck = 18 + 8 = 26
1 1 cylinder power washer = 26 + 1 = 27
1 1 cylinder lawn mower += 1 = 28
1 1 cylinder snow blower += 1 = 29
1 1 cylinder weed wacker += 1 = 30

So, let's count `em and give s4sweetee something interesting to read...

well do you mean on all properties you live with becauese I currently live with 11 other people who all have vehicles so I would have to do some tabulations


so if we count just my house that is my primary residence (ie where my parents live)

If you have title to them (or own 'em without title), count `em up regardless of who actually drives `em.

Sure, let's have *both* indices, what the hell. This could get interesting.

 

I own a farm, so this could get out of hand. 14 different tractors, 2 refrigerated trucks, 2 fork-lifts, the usual lawn mowers, pressure washers, weed-wackers, generators, 5 or 6 gasoline powered water-pumps

Guess ill have to count cylinders tomorrow AM

then for other vehicles

1 8 cyl van

there must be at least 8 or 10 turbos too... maybe more...

 

Oops, I forgot my 5KW generator, add one to my index - it's now a measly 31
