Default Curb rash -- prevention. Feedback appreciated

On this forum and some others I've seen quite a few posts about preventing and fixing curb rash. I am a serial entrepreneur and am considering starting a company to address this issue. The technology is challenging but the idea is really quite simple--electronic curb feelers; an array of sensors that would warn you BEFORE you scrape your rims.

We have a design and have filed for patents but I wonder how big the market would be. Would you buy? At what price?

Your feedback is greatly appreciated!!

You mean THESE:

...except in electronic form? If the cost were comparable to the old school verson (i.e. not TOO much more expensive), I might consider it.

So, 2 or 4 tiny little radar devices, huh? Or, sonar, I suppose, if you dint wanna hafta worry about FCC compliance. Whatchu gonna do, mod a rear-park distance device? Not a bad idea. Good luck. Hope it works out. Let us know how it goes. If you're ever in need of beta testers think of me, aiight? I often park near curbs, when I drive and hafta park somewhere other than at home.

Oh, one last thing... If you're considering posting links to a website to promote your idea, DON'T, without prior approval by myself or someone from Internet Brands: Internet Brands, Inc. Or else I'll hafta brand You as a spammer, delete all your posts and block your account; and I don't wanna do that. It takes time and annoys me.

Again, good luck.

Considering it would have to sensor wheel turning and not just a flat distance from the side of the car the cost will be higher than the worth. The avg joe spends less than 1k on wheels its less than $100 to fix basic rash.

How about a device that PULVERIZES the curb into a fine powder, as you pull up next to it? How much you think technology like that would cost, to add at all 4 wheel...

What is needed is some kind of arm...

...with a hand on it that comes out of teh steering wheel and SMACKS you upside your head, when you get too close to a curb!
