So i have decided to change in my plane ticket home from may and use it on spring break me and a buddy heading back home form school. Then i will be picking up the S and heading back to school for the last month and a half. Now the trip is 27XX miles (Mass toIdaho)and is just over 42hours according to Mapquest. but i know i will but hat down dramatically because through the midwest i will be averaging about 120.
Now my only dillema is what to do about the rims. do i keep the stockers on there with the new tires i JUST got and drive the trip with those. OR do i use the RS4 reps and just buy a cheaper but reliable tire for the trip? By the way i dont have a spare. original owner musta sold the full size or soemthing. Would love to hear what you guys think. or what you would do in my situation.
And i maybe be checking to see if there is any detroit or chicago G2G's around the weekend of March 23rdish. cause ill be comeing through around then.

 

i would just grab a reliable set for the trip and worry about good tires when you are not going to put 2700 miles on them in 3 days

 

At the very least find a spare before you head out. Unless you wanna be postin a "you guys wudn't BELIEVE what happened to me on my road-trip" thread. Other than that, check with DJSpiel (west of detroit) and SAudi (chicago-ish), and see if one of them cud talk their 'rents into hosting you for a night. Heck, they might even have a spare tire to sell ya... Especially SAudi, LoL (see "crashed sgain" thread)

Hahaha yea LMAO, i dont have a spare at all so im thinking of bringing an Extra tire with me and if it blows out just get some random gas station to put the tire on what wheel blew out, but we will see.
