I can't picture that coming into force. can you imagine having to make an emergency manauvre, (say overtaking, or exiting a sidestreet, mess it up and have to boot it as a semi is gonna crush you), but you cannot accellerate... I reckon it's a bit dangerous. Safety lentilists will probably say you should hit brakes before booting it, but I'd like the choice, thankyou very much.

 

I agree with you. There is a huge safety factor to think about.

 

When I was doing behind the wheel driver's training to get my license, my instructor and I had a discussion about a device like this. He said he wished that every car was equipped with a computer that would keep cars from exceeding the speed limit and automatically ticket you for violations. I lost a lot of respect for him at that point. He also owned a F150 Lightning with a huge roots blower and a 100 shot of nitrous.

At least when you are nothing but a bloody pulp sprayed all over the pavement, at least you died without breaking the law.

 

Man, I'd have to figure how to get that light and voice to shutup or at least make sure it was a sexy voice.

 

in the UAE they have a beeper on the car when you go over the ntional speed limit...
