I had a 2.5 and at 175hp with 180ft/lbs torque you'll be able to keep up withit ifnot pass it... They lock out at 180kph so you'll definitely be able to outrun it but it terms of punch off the line, I can't say.. Quattros are slugs off the line and an Altima in the hands of a good driver (like me will FLY.... The 3.5 has270hp PLUS 258 ft/lbs of torque so you'll NEVER be able to catch it unless youmatch those specs with some mods. Don't underestimate Nissans. They may not look as nice but they are FAST!!!!!!

LOL. Since this thread is already F'ed up and turned to Ford bashing, I'll take the opportunity to remind you there is a Ford that rapes the R8 on the track, the GT. Have a nice day.

Funny thing about people who have kick *** domestic cars and think they are the $HIT is.... They ARE STILL CRAP. American car companies have cheated the public for the longest time. GM, Ford, Chrysler.... These companies KNOW what North Americans want and that is a car that gets them from A to B.. Who cares about quality, who cares about style??? Most North Americans don't and as such, neither do North American car companies. so for the most part all they will ever make VERY well is an A to B car. A straight line "Go fast as hell, make it cheap and anyone will buy it" car.

American cars will NEVER EVER EVER have better style, power or handling than a German car.

Come on guys... The Ford GT is a nice looking car that handles well and has plenty of power. It may not be the fastest thing on the track, but it's not an ugly muscle car. I hate Fords, but the GT is an exception. But I'd take a Z06 over a GT any day (but I'd take an R8 over a Z06.)

As for the '67 GT500s...who cares. They don't look THAT great (everyone thinks they look so gorgeous because of Eleanor in Gone in 60 Seconds but that had a lot of custom body work.) And while they did put out over 400HP they weren't the fastest cars on the block back then either. I'm pretty sure the 427 Vette (at least the 435HP) and Hemis could smoke it and look better doing it.

But this is an Audi forum, obviously we don't care much for old American cars (well I do...but I think I'm an exception )

Tell me all about how the almighty A4 is better than any American car. Please?
Ford Escort, Festiva, Contour, Probe, Taurus...
Chevy Cavalier, Malibu, Impala....
Dodge Anything (excluding Viper)
Geo Anything
Saturn Anything
Buick Anything

I'm sure I'm missing a few but you get the point...

Then interior alone would make me want to buy an A4 over ANY american car. It's not all about speed my friend.

ummm, if my mechanic friend has two ferraris sitting in his garage 5.3 miles from his house and he doesn't own them, just works on them, can i be kinda cool? also, if i find a two ford whatever old cars w/no refinement, can i build one that works? in response to the real q of this thread, you can beat anyone @ anytime if the suck at driving enough. raced a guy one time who just sat and spun his tires for his first 3 gears, while i took off. he went like 20 feet and i was 20 car lengths up. oh wait, isn't that how most people drive old fords?

I love how you act like just because my name is Z06guy that I have never expirienced the quality of a vastly superior Germany car like an Audi. Man, how did you know? [] I live in a trailer in Arkansas and have a Z06 and a Ford GT, but I have never seen inside such a superior car as an A4. I think my cars are the sh*t, only because I have not expirienced the greatness of a German car that would make me realize that my cars are CRAP. Yeah Z06s and Ford GTs are only good at going from point A to point B. Just like you said in capital letters so it must be true;Z06's and Ford GTs will never ever ever have better style, power, or handling, than an A4. Thanks buddy, after I read the capital letters, I was converted.

Hey how much you you like to bet I have done more work, played with the mechanics, have a better understanding of the engineering, and driven more German cars than you have? I already know it's true since anyone who really understands what's going on under the skin of a wide range of cars from around the world, could not possibly have your opinion. Only those that love to buy into the image or cache of something German could have such an laughably outlandishly position.

The only way to prove that you have been in and driven more German cars. Is for both of you to post all your pictures of you in and driving the car!!!

You know what? I don't care!!! You're on an AUDI Forum so if you want to sing the praises of an American car and it's superiority over Geman cars than do it on a FORD FORUM.. I'm sure they will love you over there with your "I have 2 67' 500GT's 5.3 miles away ooooohhhhh". (Yeah they will love you alright.). Otherwise why don't you take your massively huge E-***** and shove it up your GT500 tailpipe. Hell why don't you do that to both of them, then you can brag about that too.. You can even call it a threesome if you like.
