Coolest. Video. Ever.
...Well, actually, it could be cooler if it had an Audi in it - but let's not be toooo picky.
Enjoy!

the vid, itself, was just OK... It's a variation ona couple of other things I've seen. The concepts discussed, and the potential for expanding and expounding on it, are phenominal

I've seen similar as well. The guys at Sun Micro (Jonathan whats'his-name) did a great demo at one of the shows about 1 1/2 ago, but this is a bit more in depth and full-featured IMHO.

still, until the tecnology is usable in those $100.00 laptops he spoke of, it's just another way too expensive toy. Bushmen in Borneo won't be interfacing via the gianthand-screen for a few more years, yet...

No, rilly, it IS great stuff, but, honestly, how long before its affordable? The speaker talked about how monies slated to provided $100.00 laptops for third world counntries would be better directed towards HIS pet project... That's a bit pompous, I think. Again, not that it isn't great stuff, just impracticle for the 99th percentile... Schitt, if *I* had the loot, and access, I'd prolly get myself one, but I don't, and neither will most everybody else, for another decade, at least...
But, FTR, I do think it phenominal techology.

And now you're sweet.
AWDaholic, folks.....a walking gumball ! !
And yes, I agree that it was a bit funny when he was saying - screw the 3rd world people, give people like me the money so we can make cool stuff!

I actually already posted a similar video about this device already.

This thing is awesome and has a Minority Report vibe too it. However until it gets anywhere near $100 a unit I probably wont even get to try them and it will just be one of those things that are too expensive to care about.
And providing laptops to poor countries while millions don't even get a hot meal every day IS retarded. I too would much rather see the money go towards something else. Is it really worth it spending all those millions so more people get to waste hours of their lives away playing solitare?
