Hit yor local Mall. Swing by Waldenbooks. Head for the "Discount books" section, usually near the fron of teh store, somewhere. I GUARANTEE you'll find cookbooks. Speciality cookbooks. General cookbooks. Desserts. Ethnic. All for a few dollars each, at MOST. Don't tell my family but, last year, all teh cookbooks I gave out this past xmass, something like 20, in all, cost me less than $50.00 TOTAL!!!

You know... rather than buying a cookbook, i'd recommend subscribing to like Cooking Light or one of the other cooking magazines. They always have pictures and the instructions are always pretty easy to follow. I get most of my recipes from Cooking Light, and to be honest, you can't tell any of the stuff is "light" and half of it i would never even consider "light"..... everyone I cook for always begs to come back over and/or have the recipe.
