Default Computer Gamers Of AF.....

im thinking about going SLI, or getting a new video card.

i currently have a GeForce 8800GT KO edition. its a great card.. im thinking about selling it for a ATi 3870. and getting a physX card. tell me what you guys think... my friend has a 3870 and it can outperform my card in some games. but my card has built in PhysX. idk what to do.....

I say its a lot of money you will never see again hahaha. I haven't put anything new in my pc for a very long time so I am pretty out of date on whats good and whats not. My pc is still running a 2.8ghz P4 Prescott OC'd to 3.1 ghz right now (goes to like 3.5 if I want but I don't need that anymore), 1.5gb or PC3200 ram, 128mb ATI 9600 video card, and an Asus P4P800 SE mother board (I think thats it) Got any AGP video cards laying around that might be better?

Other than the occasional game of madden, I havent had for video games in months! I used to be a big gamer, I would say invest the money into something a little more practical and usable as I grew out of the whole B.A. computer hardware before I went to college. For the price of that GPU you could get yourself a nice laptop that you can game on, sure it cant run farcry at 400385753X2137539 res but hey, do you REALLY need that??

Maybe dump it into the A4? Go K04 or something haha

yea im probly going to get the HIS Vapor Cooled ATi 3870 and an ASUS PhysX card, i can get both for about 220. so throwing in an extra 20 couldn't hurt.

edit: also from that link u sent me. the xx50 cards suck. they are low end models, thats why they are cheap
