RE: Car Wash Q
what i do is wash it, dry it good.. then apply liquid wax the one that we use at the dealer, its pink and smells like bubble gum..
as i apply the liquid wax and at the same time the clay bar and start workin on the car, one section at a time.

I use soapy water as the lubricant... it works really well. I keep a sudsy mitt in one hand and the claybar in the other.
Also, be very very very careful not to drop the claybar. If it hits the ground, it's pretty much garbage.
If you use my method with the soapy water, just be sure and rinse off the car frequently... don't leave it covered with suds as it bakes in the sun. Ideally you can do this in the shade. Also, make sure to give the car a thorough wash after the claybar... then you're ready for a polish if it needs it (if you wanna polish by hand, by Step 1 of Mother's three step system. I actually recommend using Step 1 and 2 of the Mother's system, followed by a good synthetic wax (Step 3 uses a Carnauba wax which isn't what I like to use -- awesome shine that lasts for about 2 washes).
Be warned! Step one of the Mother's system (the polish) is kind of a pain in the ***! You are polishing the car by hand... so it is kind of a laborous job. Step 2 is easy as pie though (the 'glaze') and honestly, it makes a HUGE difference in the final results.
