Car Loan? How to get out of it?
#2
Or refinance (get another loan), hopefully at a lower rate. I refinanced the TT last winter with a local credit union, just to get it local (original loan was with my credit union back in NY). Lumped my car and my boat into an auto loan, using the car as collateral on the boat, got a lower interest rate. Combining the two seperate loans fI had from the NY credit union at the new CU, I ended up saving about $60/month.
And you can trade a car in with a loan on it, the dealer will be buying the car, and the money will be going to the bank before you get your grubby fingers on it, releasing the title. Its all factored into trade in value.

What is up with the TSX bro? Sick of it already?
My buddy actually did this recently. He went to CarMax to sell the car. Basically it all depends on how much you owe for the car and how much the car is really worth. My buddy bought the car brand new for around $21,000 - we all know how much car depreciates - so when he went to CarMax they gave him a CarMax appraisal price of $17,000 with KBB price of around 18,500.
The breakdown for him was:
-Car's worth (to CarMax) with 3,000 miles (which is fairly low): 17,000
-Money owed: 18,500 (IIRC)
So all in all, he had to pay CarMax a total of $1,500 in order for them to take the car off him and I suppose resell it. It was a huge lost for my friend but he did it as he wasn't happy with the car.

First, you'll need an asteroid.
Direct it towards the financial institution that is the custodian for your loan records.
You can find this out using your basic horde of evile minions, OR, an out of work psychic.
Using proprietary technology available through any of the hundreds of Evile-Genius, and/or Acme Supply outlets, build a very specific doomsday device that will spell D - O - O - M for those loan guys...
Problem solved!

rofl... They send those letters to everyone, dude. They can't really know that you are approved without pulling your credit, which they did not do without your permission. The only thing they did to preapprove you was pull your name and address out of a hat.
