Name one other car for 54k that has 500+ horsepower, you can't. Its the best bang for the buck out there. The GT500 can shame any audi out there including the new r8 in a straight line.

 

Ya you can't get another car for the price with as much power or as good acceleration, but when the corners hit, the suspension is stone age technology. It just handles poorly, I guess you could get rid of that problem by replacing the suspension, I'm not sure how much that would do though. But if I was going to spend 54k on a mustang I think I would buy a Saleen or Rousche.

 

Actaully for all the HP that the NEw Shelby GT500 has it isnt all its cracked up to be at all, didnt they get like sh!tty times for like everything including the 1/4 mile?

 

Who cares if it has 500hp?? It's a 4000lb pig. A $45K C6 will hand a GT500 it's ***, straight line or otherwise. And the R8 wasn't made to go fast justin a straightline. The new GT500 barely outruns the old "Terminators" (03-04 Cobra). And they made do w/ 390hp. Horsepower don't mean a damn thing if it has too much weight to work against. Those cars run mid 12's in the 1/4. They suck around a track. Look at how many cars for under $50K that will eat a Shelby on the strip and the track. Here's a hint, it's a long list....... the GT500 is so over-rated it's pathetic. Even Mustang forum members agree.

 

The GT500 does 0-60 in 4.3 and the 1/4 mile in 12.2 that is in no way "Sh!ty" A C6 cant do that. But overall the car isn't as good as I was hoping, especially the handling

 

Hahaha r u serious a C6 runs the same numbers doesnt it and if you pony up the $70k for the C6Z06 isnt in the 11's form the showroom?
I do know ofr a fact that the C6Z06 is like #9 on Top Gears list for fastest cars around the track.... it beat out all types of ferraris, porches, everything, not much better.....

no way the tt would be in 4th. ive driven one pretty hard and that car is no joke, its on rails and it has plenty of power.

 

I didn't say it was sh!tty, just over-rated. Hell, even the 550hp mid-engine supercarFord GT is over-rated IMO.
