ive always been a V8 guy...but if it was the STi vs the SS, id take the STi, no question...

i know a few guys with very healthty GM F-bodies, and ive never seen an SLP supercharger...

a guy at the local track runs a mid 80s audi (dont know the model, sorry), but its a pretty good sized ride, and he runs mid 11s...and i believe it was him that had an SLP shirt on and written under the SLP was (super low performance)

 

go with anything but american muscle, so WRX i guess...
even though EVO is so much better, esp. the MR version

 

i'd love the SS if i lived in someplace nice like florida. but i live in upstate ny so id have to go with the WRX for winter driving

 

my opinion, go for the b5 S4, if not then get the WRX fast lil bastards

 

ss's are fast....supercharge it then mount a turbocharger in the rear, under the trunk...whoa...

the SS would make a fun 2nd car... but should never be anybodies only car. I mean, there are times where you don't need refinement... and the SS is a blast to drive, if you have the 6 spd. They handle about as well as they can, with a solid rear axle... the only good thing left in american muslce, is the corvette. And I will always love them, unless GM does something retarded with it. Everybody should drive a vette... we all drive audi's... so take a spin to a GM dealer, bypass the sh*t, and test drive a C6. You'll see what I mean!

So yeah, starting to rant -- but I'd go with neither as well, but if he's deadset on one of the two... go WRX, because like I said, the camaro isnt a good car to have as your only car. take note though, WRX reliability isn't good! I know a guy who worked at a suburu dealer, and lets just say: buy with warranty.

B5 S4, go make your friend drive one... he wont want either of the other 2 cars anymore -- make sure you mention the S4 k04 upgrade, while he's driving it.
