Default calk talk for the DIY'ers

ok.....i'm recalking a shower/tub and i haven't done this before, but it seems easy enough. is there a good product that resists mildew? can i use the calks from a tube instead of the gun? i don't think i could control the gun as good as a tube.
and is there one that dries fast?

any suggestions?

i was scared to open this at first.

if you head down to lowes you can find a little red or blue tube that will look like tooth paste.
it would be your easiest product to use.
when you cut the tip cut it at about 45 degree angle.
make sur to clean as much of the old stuff off then wipe the area down with a clean cloth.
now you are ready to put the caulk to work.start in a corner a work your way out of it dont use to much a little goes a long way.once you have put the caulk on you can take a damp cloth-put your fingerin the cloth and drag your rag across the cauking to give a nice uniform look.
pm me if you have any more ?s

good luck

colgate would be the safest bet and the scent is up to you it will depend on how you like your caulk to smell
