hey all, so my car is falling apart... a mechanic "friend" offered to let me use his scanner for my 2002 audi tt roadster for a $50 fee (one tiem use). i had no idea how mcuh these things cost but regardless it seemed way to high. i went onto froogle and looked for diagnostic tools. ok the prices vary a lot, and ive never used one so i dont know exactly what to look for. here is one for $5o with shipping: http://www.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=574185 ok its a much cheaper product than what ive seen and it makes me want to throw away my "friends" number.

should i buy it? it should work with my car right? anyone have any experience with one like this?
