Default boost gauge

this may sound stupid, but this is my first turboed car, so are boost gauges universal? i was asking because i really dont wanna drop close to 200 bucks shipped to my house for a boost gauge that i could prolly get off a local streetracing board for half the price..

what boost gauges is everyone using?

if i were to buy that gauge, how would i mount it on my A pillar. And how hard is it because if its hard at all i'd prob have to take it to a shop.

also do you guys think that 1 gauge on the A pillar would look gay, me and my buddy were arguing about that today in class.

Also, i want to make sure i dont have airbags there. Does anyone know off hand if the 1999 A4 1.8TQ, has an airbag there. If not any suggestions on where to check. Owners Manuel?

My 99.5 does'nt have air bags on the a-pillar.

Yes...it is ok to put just one gauge on the a-pillar. I've seen "ricers" having up to 3 gauges on the a-pillar just for looks sometimes they don't even work or it is just a clock.

A boost gauge is for watching the functions on your turbo to make sure there in check (damn spence should copy right that)

Plus I think teh a-pillar looks nice and clean check out Tom's a4 that looks real nice.
