Bond VS Bourne
#11
Oh, and for anyone who hasn't read them? The original three books by Ludlum are probably flat-out the best espionage trilogy/story available out there. The first book alone contains at least 30 times the amount of plot/action/characters/etc as all three movies combined. And the main crux of the trilogy's plot (Bourne vs Carlos the Jackal) isn't even touched in the movies. Put down the mouse and go get them. Take a hiatus from AF and **** and spend a little time reading some really bad-*** books

I think I prefer Bond, just because I've been a fan since I was like 12... I owned all the old Bond flicks on VHS. Woot!
I read the Bourne trilogy... amazing books for sure. I don't believe he was in his 50's, though. 30's, I believe. He had a young family, and their deaths caused him to be the rebel without a cause type dude... and he wasn't part of treadstone long before he went crazy-town, and are reading about him/watching him. So yeah... where do you get this notion of him being 50?

I also saw the new Bond on Friday afternoon, the opening scene is enough to make you cry, that should be a national outrage to destroy on Aston like that. AS to why the Alfa could keep up, consider the traffic they were in, on a wide open stretch, he woul have been long gone, but the traffic worked to the advantage of the Alfa. The opneing music did nothing for me. The one problem I have is that they tied the two movies together, Bond is not supposed to be a "series" like that, each movie is supposed to be different and seperate. It helped that there was a seperate underlying plot line to the movie once Bond caught onto it. I found Kurylenko extremely hot in Hitman, in this movie she did nothing for me. Now, Gemma Arterton was very hot, I hope to see more of her, and wish we could have seen more of her in the movie.
I tried to read the last book of the series, even though I'm an avid reader and have no problem with long *** books. It couldn't hold me, I gave up on it after about 75 pages. I think in a 3 way cage match to the death, all 3 would end up dead. They all have the varying degree of martial arts/street fighting skills.
In terms of who makes the better movie, I would rate them this way:
Technology- Bond, Bourne, Trasnporter
Cars- Bond, Transporter, Bourne
Women- Bond, Transporter, Bourne
Skills- Bond/Bourne (tie), Transporter
Realistic- Bourne, Bond, Transporter

The Bourne movies were good, but i didnt read the books. Books usually are better.....
Iv always been a Bond fan, some were good, some havent been. I must say i do like Daniel Craig as bond though. I hope he does at least a couple more. I think they need a new director though. Most of the action scenes would have been much better if you could tell what was going on. I want Less of the shakey camera, bad angles, and cutting every 3 seconds.
Jason Stathom (transporter) is cool, but i feel like he plays the same roll in every single movie and has little range. Bond would defeat him...

The books are very, very good. R2.7TA6, did you read the first two? They take a little time to get going and get into (Ludlum is usually like that), but it's because he builds up so much exposition for later on, and it's worth reading through because none of it is superfluous - it all comes to bear later on. As for Bourne's age, for some reason I was thinking early 40s...

I kinda liked how Quantum of Solace picked up where Casino Royale left off - these new movies are a totally different breed than the old Bond flicks, and I think it works that the new Bond continues over several films rather than having many separate adventures.
Also, did anyone else realize who "the orgainization" is?
