Ok he payed 7k. If the work on it had been done correctly from the beginning the car would have been 100% turbo ready but the work was obviously not done right.

http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...d.php?t=966773 enjoy. This is the person that sold its build thread. Please dont post in it as he is now getting a lawyer to try to get his money back and posts against the guy would not help him out.

Things like that are why I WILL NOT buy a car off ebay, and especially WILL NOT buy a car sight unseen.

I had a handful of issues with my TT when I bought it, and I looked the car over and test drove it. If I could do it again, I'd have spent a full day and done a serious inspection rather than look over the just the big things for 20 minutes.

And the lesson here today kids. Beware of ebay fixer-uppers. If the head is like that, how about the block and drivetrain.

The only time I would consider buying a vehicle off of eBay is if I found out it was close enough to go and inspect myself or at least have a good (mechanically inclined) friend inspect it.

this is one of those times where "FAIL" doesn't quite explain it entirely... mostly from the seller, but your buddy who bought it gets a pretty serious dose of FAIL too :-/

Hope things work out and he doesn't have to learn from his mistake the hard way!
