Bacon...I loved your post. A lot of truth there.

I lived in Thailand for a while, so I would suggest it for anyone. I've never heard anyone come back from Thailand and say they had anything less than a fantastic time. My advice is get to the outlying areas and the islands. I had a blast in northern Thailand(golden triangle country) and on Ko Chiang and the parts of the penn. that are only accesible by boat. Ditto on Bacon's comments about not eating food by the street vendors. I lived there a long time and you just cannot adjust.

I'll think more later on the other hot spots around the globe.

You know, not that long ago, Thailand hadn't signed the WIPO Treaty and its pharmacies were completely open. There was no "Brokedown Palace" bs then. [8D]

Think more "Infinite Jest" and less "The Beach".

 

I mean there are a ton of places around and everyone likes something different. Waht are u looking for tropical, winter, paradise, party, historic (like Rome or Italy) or... I love the beach and all so most likly i would like all the places i vist to have them. If u looking for beautiful oceans and such look in a SCUBA magazine or top SCUBA places to dive they are all amazing. Thailand is a top one too. I love to SCUBA and u should really try it sometime, u may never be somewhere were u can expierence it again.

 

Guam is nice for a couple days also. It gets really boring after a week. They have the best strip clubs. And it's US owned.

Spain
I didn't like Ibiza,99% of all tourists are fat and German
Barcelona is impressive but very dirty
Navarra is a must see
See is kinda dirty

Italy
Northern Italy just rocks,specially Venice and Milano
Rome rocks,but its pricey.
Florence is the world's capital of art.Must see
Italian alps are good but not as good as austrian
Girls are just drop dead nice

Czech Republic
Nothing to see acept Prauge and Karlovy Vary
Prauge rocks,specially the huge gothic catedral
Beer is extremly cheap,but very good

Portugal
One of the most impressive beaches in the world
The mentality of the people is almost brazillian
Girls are even nicer then in Italy
Lisaboa and Porto are pretty small but very nice

Sweden
All girls are blonde and beautiful
Don't expect to get drunk there.One bottle of Jack daniel's is 60 euros
90% of the people can fluently speak english
The cities are the most cleanest in the world

 

Sweden:

Highest proportion of drop dead gorgeous hot sexy sexually frustrated blonds in the world
Highest proportion of clinically depressed men in Europe.

Figure that one out?

The Algarve is amazing.
