i'd suggest a miata then, they are awesome on a track, and yes, almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution. if you do buy one, buy an automatic and convert it to to a 5spd. why you ask? because the auto's came with lower compression so when you throw on a supercharger/turbo kit you can get quite a bit more power out of them before upgrading internals. 300hp would get you nicely into the 13's. or you could build the engine and throw on a t3/t4 setup and be in the 11's/12's, tho it might take away from your track ability.

That sounds like alot of money, but without forcedinduction how much hp does the miata make setup for the track?

Your best bet is still MR2 or DSM. Both have alot of potential and parts are cheap.

hahah yeaaaa. if your not all about making a miata FI or doing alot of work then get a MR2, dont knwo alot about DSM's but if u wentMR2 and put about $2-3k into suspension and light modifications you would beat most cars at the track (driver pending).
