Back from Italy

RE: Back from Italy
the best sight seeing i think was either the Vatican (st. Peter's Square, the museum just sucked), and of course the ruins in rome.
The wine was decent, but this was teh first time i was actually drinking wine, for any good amount. I did go wine tasting up in Chanti town, at 2 wineries. They both had good a crappy wine. Most of it was either a Cab or Merlot. I also was drinking mostly mixed drinks except at dinner. Alot of Rums and Cokes and such. A few bloody mary's. And then beers. The best beer I had was Asahi, it was at a chinese/ japanese/ italian restraunt in our hotel in Flourence. Its called the Fusin sp? bar. I of course had teh normals, Fuller's (english beer), Beck's, Budweiser (i was a lil home sick), Heiniken, and Fosters, prolly a few others too. My parents were impressed by my alcohol tolerance, i not once, stumpled, threw out, slurred speech or had any hangovers.
The women were OK but mostly were just tourist. Of course London had some nice looking ones, but still the hottest seemed to be just American Tourists. BUt there were the occasional Italian locals that were looking great.
But b/c my brother bailed on the trip and since we kept moving city to city i wasnt able to go to any clubs or anything. OOO well, i think ill be able to make up for it all in college.

Yea alot of those places are real toursit hotspots so you don't get the real experience. I went on the italian exchange my junior year of highschool, and before going to rome and florence n all those tourist places we got to stay 10 days with a host family in Perugia. I loved it there. The center (basically an outside mall that is alot of restaurants, pubs, n etc.. surronding a huge cobble stone walking area) was a great place to hang out and see what the culture was really like.
