My unit got tasked with a detail in Antwerp, Belguim, so 10 of us were sent here for a month, maybe two. It is pretty nice, just need to get off the post some. The mrs. isnt happy cuz I miss turkey day again. Maybe next year.

 

Antwerpen is nice, when time permits check it out..oh and brush-up on your french. I feel ya on the issue about being away from family and friends during the holiday season.

I am trying to get off the post, but we were not allowed to leave until we got some stupid briefings. We did go out to the port on Sunday. There is a road that has a 4 lane traffic circle that opens up to a road that is about a mile long, straight and flat. There must have been 200 motorcycles out there. All using it as a dragstrip and stunt track. Happens there every sunday they said. So, weather permiting, that is where I will be on sundays until I leave.
