Audi vs. BMW

RE: Audi vs. BMW
I like BMWs too, but Audis are the best. Two things:
1. Quattro is better than Xdrive and 4Matic.
2. Most of the people complaining about BMWs to be faster than Audis, should realize that Audis are always heavier than BMWs. When I was buying my A6, I compared the E-Class, 5Series with it. Audi A6 is 500Lbs or so heavier than the 530i. BMW was the lightest, and Audi was the heaviest among the three. I liked the solidness over the speed, so got my self an Audi.

i think for normal drivers (people who just want to get from point A to point B) it just depends on which one you like the looks/features of more because they are both good cars.
having said that if youre talking about any type of racing
well it depends on the type ofrace you wanna do.
a beemer would probably be a better drift car
but with audis quattro id say that would give it the uper hand in rally, auto X, any type of street course
however ive never driven a bmw and although my car isnt a quattro i have driven one that is, so im just saying from what ive heard and what makes sense.
i vote audi.... although for some reason i feel somewhat bias hmmm

RE: Audi vs. BMW
I'm a huge fan of both. Surprisingly enough, I've driven more Bimmers than Audi's, but I don't really think an '06 X5 is really something worth comparing to my A4. I will say, though, that I did enjoy test driving a '97 328is - it felt quite solid for it's ageand shared a lot of the same features as my '01 A4, but I still prefer my car. Especially if you want to factor cost into the comparison. I picked up my car for close to $11k, warranty, tax, plates, etc. included, whereas the 4-year-olderBimmer I drove had an asking price of $12.9k. Both cars are sort of a rarity in my area, but the price for a clean e36 around here is outrageous. And keep in mind that both of these cars had ~64k miles, and no maintenance records.
To sum it up, B5 > e36, in my opinion (especially since X-Drive wasn't available for the e36 generation, whereas it was for every generation following, and the e30's). But both are great companies as a whole, and both have put out some beautiful machines. For this reason, I am not voting.
