Had Directv for 6 years, got their HD program when I got my HD tv about a year ago. Their HD equipment/receiver sucks butt and only had 90 day warranty. Mine started crapping out in less than a year later, kept getting channel not purchased(even for local channels). Directv wanted to charge me 70 bucks just to have a tech come by, so I dropped them and switched over to Dish Network with HD DVRand 18 months warranty on the receiver......I only watch about 10 channels and Speed is one of them, one of my favorite channels

DirecTV has a ton of HD channels... but they are all compressed to hell. What's the point of HD when you've got all kinds of compression artifacts/motion blur?
