Audi/Evo nose mod on a Subaru

this is America, and in America if a man wants to bastardize his own vehicle...well...that's his own business.
I think the subie in the OP looks pretty nice. And if you couldn't tell, I don't have a problem with it.

I actually agree with the OP when it comes to this subject. I believe a car should be done based within its own manufacturer standards. I feel like there are cars out there that try so hard to mimic other cars from other brands. They should stay and cherish their own distinctive lines/models.
One of the examples would be the LED strips/lights that originally started from the S6. I have seen so many non Audi brands using LED strips to have that look. IMO this is just way too tacky and trying too hard. Call me a hater but I'm normally not a fan of this even on an Audi (older models don't come with LED's). I guess these LED's are the new angel eyes.
I've seen this "Aud grille mod" done on several Subarus and even some Scion tC's and to be honest, they don't look bad. Although I don't get the whole intention of doing it. Is it really to mimic the Audi look so people will think it's an Audi or strictly just to be different.
Also someone brought up the Mitsubishi Lancer. I somehow think the Lancers had some Audi inspirations when it comes to their design. If you sat in one, you'll quickly notice the center display (the LCD screen) which is a total rip off from Audi. Also the front "Audi-look-alike-grille". Coincidence? I think not.

I don't think it's similar enough to Audi to say they are betraying the brand. Lots of Audi guys put on badgeless grills and whatnot that make the car look very different... but you can't really say that any brand with a squarish big grill is imitating Audi.
lol @ the R8. That guy has a sense of humour. It looks like a vinyl wrap so the owner would be well aware of the stir he'd cause... and it'll all be undone when he unwraps the car.

Lots of exotics owners wrap their cars. What's 3-4k for a killer wrap job, right? Lets them play with colours and revert back to shiny OEM paint after a year or two.
