yeah I started trying to do a variation of that with some facelift lights I picked up and found out that one of them had been taken apart before and then resealed with silicone.
heat resistant adhesive + headlights in the oven = a waste of time

ouch bummer, im looking at different kinds of adhesive for when i put the headlights back together
