yup, you can disconnect it very easily under the rear seat (usually)...it's connected inline between the ecu and the injectors, so you just pull the plugs, reconnect the stock plugs and test it out. for some reason the pc's for that generation gixxer 6 are more likely to fail than others.

how long ago did you buy the pc? Dynojet might be willing to replace it for you under warranty

Yeah, the PC was purchased by the previous owner when the bike was new... so 2002. It's old, which is even more evidence for the PC being the culprit of my problem. I'm fine with losing the power... as long as it's smoooooooth. So if this smooths out the power, I'll likely just ride it sans PC forever. I don't wanna spend hundreds on a new PC + tune, when the bike in stock form is plenty fast for me. Plus, with the new laws in Canada, anything 50 km's over the limit (roughly 30 mph) results in automatic vehicle impound, license suspension, and big fines. I should buy a scooter.
