40cents cheaper gas would worry me. there's probably a ton of crap in there that would ruin your engine to make the gas cheaper. hell, i wouldn't be so surprised if the gas was watered down.

there are all kinds of no-name gas stations all over san jose that water down the gas, it's pretty well known in that area. but arco is a pretty large corporation isn't it? maybe i'm wrong..

hahaha, what the hell is that? .....random, but good to know. i'm willing to pay the 35 cent charge to use my atm card, i'd save more than that on the first gallon.

I've been using ARCO for years. Cheapest gas anywhere around. Sometimes the lines are 4-5 cars long. Used to be Richfield back in the days of 35 cent gas. Now it's owned by British Petroleum ( green and yelllow 'BP' signs ). One reason they're cheaper is that they don't accept credit cards. They have those debit machines that you can use ( for 35 cents ).

i don't think that eliminating the use of credit cards would drop the price THAT much though

it does though... credit card companies charge 6% per transaction to the place using the service.
