No, I am currently looking into everything. If all goes well, I want to take classes in the spring and get the permit then as well. In CT we have 60 days to ride with permit, by then I will hopefully know enough to get the license. I am not doing this to be "cool" or for a "rush"; I just wanted to find a new hobby similar to my car but not exactly.

 

the class will teach you everything... the one out here in WA state was amazing.. taught people that had never been on a bike before how to ride

 

I would not start out with a r6 for ur first bike, not a good idea. One of our friends was killed on last sunday, and he was not a very expeirence rider, and hes dead now.

 

Just show respect and constraint and you'll be fine.

But...

A new rider + R6, R1, Gixxer6, Busa, 749, 999 etc etc + MY level of self control = Dead in 2 hours!

I started mt street bike experience on a 95 Kawasaki ZX6E. That bike was an awesome sport touring bike. I had been on dirt bikes since I was a kid so I felt I could start off with the 600. I bought the thing for $3500 and sold it at the end of the season for $3500. Damn good deal. My next bike I bought a 98ZX9R I paid like $6000 for it, and my friend ran it off the road and broke both legs. So I sold it for parts, because I really did'nt want the power that thing had. So I bought me an 03 ZX6r and still have it 2 years later.
