so basically the keyboard is bad and wont let you in? ( is the keyboard repairable ) if not then replace the laptop, files and photos can be removed to another PC by linking them or down loaded to a stand alone hard drive, you could build a hard drive caddy for the one in your laptop then use it with your PC or laptop

^^we told her about building a caddy for her esixting HDD, already, in her original thread.

Jessica, swing by circuit city, or whatever passes for a high-end computer-store conglomerate, near to you, and get a 2.5-inch hard-drive enclisure. Should cost no more than $20.00.

PM me when you get it and I'll give you a number to call me at, any time, day or night, and I will talk you through assembling the external HDD. Tehn, all you'll need will be a working computer witha USB connection, to be able to retrive your files.

It will all be OK.

ahahaha.....thanks for EVERYONES help! I am going to go by circuit city when I have a chance to pick up what your talking about. Will make it sooo much more easier.

When I woke up this afternoon I tried again.. Someone told me to start in safe mode
I actually got onto my desktop and could see all my documents...
When I put in the flash drive though, my computer froze
I was soooo close.

LOL I give up.
Will let you guys know when I get the thing from circuit city......

 

safe mode only allows the most basic driver to function so USB is out, you can always try to go in through DOS and copy the files to a Floppy although i doubt anyone uses those anymore. if i were you id try either the caddy idea others have had or try to start in normal mode again and see it you can get in
