im telling you for the moeny just do a 50 or 75 shot, unless your going to tear the whole motor apart and start from scratch its not worth it. 2500 or more for 50- 60hp not worth it in my book

Im going to side with the nitrous guys. Unless he wants to drop ALOT of cash making that thing work like he wants it to, then more cash every few months for some new R compounds on the front just drop $1200 for a fully decked out wet nitrous setup and plug in the 75 shot jets. If he does his homework it would probably be a more reliable, streetable setup. Definitely more cost effective.
Nitrous is just as much fun as a turbo. You just never have to refill your boost bottle.
If hes dead set on a turbo, tell him to go find a 1st or 2nd gen DSM. Turbo kits on civics are silly without quite a bit of drivetrain/suspension work.
