Anyone heard of this driver?
I just put a bid on ebay for a Taylor Made R580 9.5 degree for $1 with $14 shipping, 2 days left. Anyone ever use this driver? I figured for $15 its not a big deal if I don't like it, I can always sell it again.

I'm not familiar with this driver. I played a Taylor Made R7 before I recently switched to the Ping G5 and I love the Ping. Taylor Made doesn't make a bad product. You will like it.

Yeah, I've got a Taylor Made Burner right now, but I really don't like the height/distance that the 10.5 degree gives me. I can hit my friend's 9.5 so much better, so I figured its worth the $15.

Yeah... I really love how much golf equiptment depreciates though, even worse than an Audi.

I paid 350 bucks for my Ping and then three weeks later, they came out with a new one. It's crazy.

Have you seen those drivers that have wieghts you can shift to correct slice and draw? They seem like not only a gimmick, but a crutch that people will use to learn bad golf habits.

Thats true, there is no substitute for a good swing. With a good swing you could hit a real wood driver perfect.

RE: Anyone of this driver?
I have a couple of those I got for free when someone donated a bag of clubs to our golf team last year. They were pretty much all useless clubs to us, but they were free. I picked up a wooden driver, 2 wood and 4 wood that I meant to refinish and regrip (I stripped the varnish and polished them up), but never got around to it. There were even a couple irons with bamboo shafts. The bag had an golf course ID in it from the 70s, and the guy was in his mid-60's then, so he probably bought that equiptment brand new.
