muhahaha, yeah actually, did you know that mice can not see red light, so if you have a red filter on a flashlight all you have to do is wait down there with a net and when the F'er comes out to get the bait that you will have set, net him and throw his *** out the door.
This actually does work, we did it in New Mexico when we had a mouse issue in the cabin.
or there is always the idea of get a cat and let them do work on the mouse

TO bad about the cat allergy, my GF's cat would kill it and then bring it to you. If the red light is true, get a box and sit above it and when it goes in for food, trap it by flipping the box up or putting something in front of it.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEk!!
maybe you should have a little dish of wine for drinking next to the trap that has the cheese.
or try putting peanut butter on the trap!
sometimes we have trouble with little skinks getting in the basement. those suckers are fast!

cook a little bacon, crumble it and mix it with peanut butter. put it on small spring trap or center of glue trap. He will not resist. Small trail of grass seed leading to it and small pile of grass seed covering trap will work as well. Mouse bar poison works typically but if they die in your walls, ugg. quit worrying about the snapping turtle and kill the little bastard.
