Being an ex rider, I hate seeing people cruising around without helmets and some girl with a mini skirt and 4 inch heels on the back of their bike. Those are amazing machines and a lot of people dont respect them and what they are capable of. Most people that own them have about 2 inches on each side of the rear tire where it has not seen any sort of pavement. Stupid monkeys.
Couldn't agree more. You certainly have to respect a bike a lot more than a car. Air bags and a large steel frame stops a lot more from hurting than a helmet and getting thrown from or dropping a bike.

Word, Yeah that is true about the person riding the bike. If that person sucks, then there bike might as well be a vespa. When i first got my 750 my buddy had a CBR 600 f4i and he could always pull away from me at a stop light or whatever ( but then I learned how to ride it). btw anyone that is interested in getting a bike, I would def recommend getting a 750 or a more mid-sized bike. not to say that 600's arent fast or anything, but chances are, that after a few months you will want more and a 750 (or so) will satisfy you longer.

the only bad thing is there isnt a big population of 750's. dont get me wrong the gix 750 is one of the best all around bikes you can buy right now, but not every body likes suzuki. i wish more companies would market to that audience that wants that medium. pretty much you have the gixxer, a couple ducatis, and high end mv agustas for the 750 class.

The only thing I have against the larger bikes are of course they weigh more. I learned how to ride on my R6 and I'm really glad being that it weighs less than most out there. Mine weighs in right around 350 and even the Kawi Ninja 500 comes in at 390.

I hear ya on the power and the kick, but then again I've never got on a 700. It's only been a 600 and 1000.

What 750's do you recommend?

I totally agree, there needs to be more mid sized bikes available. I think I may have heard something about yamaha making one? I dunno. but I live the suzuki 750, it is so much esier to get the front wheel off the ground than on a 600. If I ever get another bike it will be a 2005 or new Triumph speed tripple 995 in black. i think that is one of the sexiest bikes out right now.
