^^^GUD question^^^
(I HATE it when someone else thinks of something I think I should have thought. Do you think the thought of thinking that I didn't think the thought that I thought I should have thought will throw my thinking off?)

RE: Anyone else get the email?
I'll have to check my email when I am home and see what the name is. It was a general automotive forum. They were going to have different sections for each manufacturer and Audi was one that they were going to do.

RE: Anyone else get the email?
It's autoforums.com. I got the same email and you know what, I've been posting like a Mad Man. I've been using articles on here and Audiworld.com and simply putting a blurp at the bottom who wrote it and where I got it from so as to not steal anyone's work. They say they will pay $500 for the post's and they ARE associated with www.modified.com
I checked the HEader info on the email I got and even called the guy. Sounds pretty legit. I figure I'll put up my 100 posts, see if I cash in and then *if* it is legit, we can start recommending you guys for it. I figure I'll spare you the trouble before getting your hopes up.
Below is the email. Like I said, I'm almost there, so I'll let you guys know if it's legit.

Dear Sir,
We have noticed that you are a regular contributor in forums, and we
are interested in contracting your services as a paid beta-tester for our
new automotive forums site launch.
In January 2006, we will be launching AutoForums.com - a new online forum
community for automotive enthusiasts. While you are a member of your current
site, we are looking for enthusiasts who might be willing to join our board,
do some beta-testing, and contribute some posts.
We are currently at the post-development stage, and are looking to build the
content of our forums in the Audi car category. We need experts such as
yourself to populate our boards with high-quality, informative posts.
The beta-testing job would pay US$500, and would last 15 days. We would
require you to sign-up for a full profile, and complete 100 posts of
substance (no "I agree" type posts). Upon completion of your 100 posts (of
which a minimum of 35 must be new threads), and verification of your
profile, we would send you a check for the full amount. You would then have
the option of staying on-board as a moderator if you desired.
AutoForums is owned by VerticalScope Inc., which also owns a number of
category-leading print magazines such as Modified Mag, Modified Luxury &
Exotics, and Modified Mustangs. ( www.modified.com , www.modifiedLE.com ,
www.modifiedmustangs.com )
If you are interested, please reply at your earliest convenience.
Please treat this inquiry as confidential.
Thank you.
