Any other firearm enthusiast?

RE: Any other firearm enthusiast?
so sniperage has some meaning to the name, nothing like custom mods, they are just as important as the basic gun you put them on.
Kraysaw- are you itching to go back to the range or something? haha. I was at an army base once (part ofdoing what I do) and they had a sniper pair there struggling to hit the 500 with an acog on haha, no offense to you army guys.
Just because of this postI went out and shot the glock 18 and hk mp-7

Oh... I do miss the range. My next addition to my collection is really a toss up between a Kimber or an M1A1, just for the purpose of re-living those 500 meter pot shots... Love seeing that white disc when the target comes back up!
Have you guys seen the HK 416? Looks like it could easily replace the M16 and the MP5 in service with the different barrel lengths available. Pretty bad a$$ rifle.

Sweet... Thanks HP Addict. I was just looking for a link to that on Youtube. That's where I first saw it a couple months ago. Gotta love the Military channel.
Here's another link... looks like it puts many, many rounds down range with minimal cleaning...

Looks that way... although I haven't seen anything really about the 417. I'll have to check it out.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_&_Koch_HK417
Looks like its built more for accuracy / marksman, which makes sense with the larger round. 7.62 does tend to me more accurate over distance since its heavier and effected less by environmental conditions than a 5.56 round.

Another enthusiast? yep!
Went elk hunting in CO last Nov. (success - a 5x6 bull, single lung shot) with my .340 Weatherby that shoots 6-shot groups at 305 yards in under 5 inches... not bad for a working rifle. Great groceries BTW.
Usually go to TX in winter to hunt wild boar with my T/C Contender 7-30 waters or .223 Rem. barrel.
Some think I have waaaay too many firearms, I think not.

I think you can call me a firearms enthusiast because I'm a hunter. I am very interested in everything related to firearms, and I also like to be interested in rangefinder, scopes and other novelties. It always amazes me how quickly this area is developing now, if we compare the state of weapons at least 20 years ago.
