I carry a Spyderco Native III (serated edge)... perfectly legal and better than nothun'.

holy crap how did I miss this thread?!? My background is extensive in this field lets just say because ofmy background haha. Well since I'll probably tell you later I'm Marine SOF. For a start I only owntwo weapons that aren't or can't be fully automatic and that is a L96A1 British sniper rifle from my grandfather and Hk usp 40. I also have the class 3 weapons license that someone mentioned earlier....

The best thing about a Marine is he can hit a man sized target with an M16 and no scope at 500 meters even with a pizza box on his chest.

*to the original post- Kimbers are the best 1911s out there. period. Personally, I'm holding out for a Taurus 1911 (cause I'm a cheap bastard) or an XD .45ACP with a 5" barrel.
