I feel ya, mate - the place we rented before we bought our place was 30 years old and had ants in the foundation! Every freek'n nook and cranny these bastards crawled out every night onto the counters in the kitchen. Any morsel, crumb or open container they made tracks to it. Battled them with Raid, traps - you name it - they would disappear for a day or two then back in numbers again.

We beat them with a Dyson vacuum through attrition. Every morning I would get up and vacuum around the counters and trash bin. Would suck up about an inch deep of ants each time. Eventually they faded - then came back - then faded away altogether for the last past of a year until we moved.

Trust me, believe all the hype about Dyson's - they rock! lol
