Because people are too callous to care, without some artificial mechanism to remind them to care about (fill in the blank).

What's your favorite "cause" to advocate for?

 

Children To care for them (Advocate) as in so many case's no one is there to stand up for them... (senior's as well) / Cancer especially Children's Cancer

in my day there were none of either....... so would not know if their are to many

why does it seem uncomfortable for some/most when on a forum to escape reality to relax and enjoy a person talks about reality and some/most get offended/annoyed about that reality ???????

I think it depends on the forum, TBH. I do participate in a couple of forums where the subject matter often centers around real-life issues; often uncomfortable ones. Cross words are frequently exchanged.
