A. well see here in Ohio the limit is seven characters, so if your plate was something like this (8BB 8B88) then when you were driving like an idiot or having some fun it a parking lot, at a distance it would be nearly impossible to tell what your plate reads, unlike for instance a plate that says 12v PRWD or something like that which is much easier to read and remember. It creates anonymity.
