work and school are very very bad. it's been proven to cause enlarged brain cells and fat wallets.

does anybody here know any thing about how to tell if a juction box is sturdy enough to hang a heavier light fixture than the one it's replacing?

it should be ok.....those are attached to studs in the sealing.

How much heavier is the new one compared to the old one?

probably double. i don't think it's more than 20 lbs. but the junction box is only connected on one side.

is there a way to stay logged on for longer than 10 ro 15 minutes. i always come back and have to log on again. very annoying.

Have no idea.....I just click the box that says remember me and when I enter the web site I'm logged in automatically

Get a 20 LB wieght or something equivalent and hang it from the box......

don't think that would work, cuz i'm sure it would probalby hold for awhile. i'm gonna have to go up in the attic and check it out from above.

think i'll fall thru the ceiling?

not if you keep your weight on the rafters.....LOL I have a friend that fell through his uncles ceiling, but the again you shouln't send someone whos 6'7" and 350 LBS into the attic HA HA HA

Your pretty handy aren't you?

yes i am. i tiled my kitchen backsplash. cracked a bunch of 12 x12 tiles and did a mosiac. i can do small plumbing repairs too. i'm a pretty good painter, but that's pretty easy.
