A: pasta is the easiest cuz so many things can go with it. you can go very plain with olive oil and garlic...then add any veggies you like. i like asparagus, red pepper and proscuitto with parmasean cheese.
or if you have some already cooked chicken, get some premade basil pesto and with garlic and a little olive oil and parmesan cheese...that's really good and easy.
you can also jazz up bottled sauce with minced celery, onion and carrots and add some red pepper flakes to give it some kick!
there are ton's of things.
i usually make more than i need of a sauceand freeze the rest in a ziplock for a fast dinner some other time.
A: was that too long of an answer? (i made some killer lobster ravioli with a seafood sauce!)

A:: well....aren't YOU quite the chef with your homemade pesto. (la te da!)
i know it's not that hard to make, but there is a grocery store that sells it premade"fresh" during the summer months. of course it's never as good as homemade, but it's close.
idon't knowof much difference between homegrown and store bought herbs. i always try to do container gardnening, butmyherbs always end updead from thesummer heat and lack of water....(i forget to water sometimes.[]). i have too many rabbits to grow them in theground.
