800hp BMW M5?!?!

RE: 800hp BMW M5?!?!
A lot of people are doing the remote mount now to save room in the engine bay. I know someone who turbocharged a Camaro using a remote mount. They work well and although some people say you don't make as much power as a standard turbo right on the exhaust manifold, they do make good power.

With you on the waste of cash - like the article said - if you get tired of the 500 hp it gives you already... hell, I've got 200 with my TT and would love 300 - but 800 is more than any freak of the week needs behind the wheel - unless you're a professional racecar driver... lol
And where could you get it up to 240 mph? One front wheel blowout and you're history at that speed...[:-]
Just thought the turbo placement was interesting though...

If you don't know what your looking for someone looking under the hood wouldn't have any idea it is turbocharged, but then again if your trying to make a sleeper out of an M5 you are going to fail.

M5 can't reallybe a sleeper, its already as fast, or faster then most cars on the road, with the exception of the purest of sports cars.(straight line speed anyway) Even with a remote turbo mount that intercooler is a dead giveaway that something is up. You can see it with the hood down through the grill already.
