3D modeling files? (Solidworks, inventor, proE)
hey, im in engineering at my college and my class is making things on a 3d printer (see pics below). It uses a plastic type of material and a supporting material that dissolves so it literally can make any shape and has VERY tight tolerences. Well anyway i want to make like a car or something cool maybe an engine block or something. I am very open to try anything at all doesnt have to be car related.
it does have to be able to fit in a 16" x 16" square, but i can scale it down if its bigger.
So if you have any 3d files you should post them up ! thanks a lot guys
(i really have no clue if anyone will respond to this, but hopefully!)

timeframe is a month.
now that we know how to use the rapid prototyper our teacher gave us the software and anywhere we have internet access we can send our .stl files to it and someone just has to hit accept at the machine and make sure there is enough material in there and it will make it!
amazing technology.
you can PM me if you want, or e-mail anything to

thanks a lot guys,
i was thinking about making something like this (not to steal your idea ha)
