2332 miles on 48 gallons

RE: 2332 miles on 48 gallons
For someone who doesn't know how to change their oil, you seem to have all the answers. You must be a f*cking retard if you don't realize how much aerodynamics, weight saving, lowering engine resistance, and being very consistant with speed can benefit mileage. I find it hilarious that every single person who's commented that this is impossible doesn't really know what they are talking about. I doubt any of you had even heard of a drag coefficient before, or why its important. Its odd that the people who actually know a thing or two about these cars haven't commented, and its all just you f*cking dumbasses. So, go ahead and enjoy getting your 14mpg and paying $4 a gallon for gas, and I'll go kick *** at more SCCA events than you guys have ever heard of.

I like the drafting talk thats going on here. most highway vehicles don't travel fast enough and are not aero enough to create a draft unless your touching nose to tail. At any rate i use to average 30mpg out of my 92 pontiac grand prix with 185,000 miles on it, with out being tuned properly. In shich case i believe clx.

Right I don't know how to change my own oil. There is a smart comment from a smart man..
Yet I can install my own boost gauge, short shifter, spark plugs, coilpacks... The last two are the simpliest things ever.
And I did diverter valve, intake, front bumper.. with jeff.
CLX you're talking out of your *** man. You don't know a thing about me.[&o]

Looks like we might have to move this over to the eFights thread...
CLX - you might very well have gotten 50 some miles per gallon, but I don't believe you at all. If you really did then more power to you. I wish I could get even half that out of my 3.0. You'll have to swing by my way and do some duct-taping and oil changes with your magical-purple-rainbow-infused-miracle-liquid to my ride so I can be efficient and actually keep a few bucks in my pocket and out of the gas tank....

I'm not sure if there's a big difference in weight between the B5 and B7, plus he removed a bunch of stuff to make it lighter. My B7 did 39mpg with 3 people and some luggages. So if my heavy *** tank can do that high, shouldn't a lighter A4 be able to do mid to high 40's?

Is this a riddle?? I think i got it--Was your car on a flat-bed for half the trip? Sorry to be hatin but that is really really high mpg. I'm impressed if its for real, i think most people just wont believe it until they see it no matter how much you explain it. You should start a website or something and make some money off showing people how to get that kind of mileage.

i usally get 32 in my b5 1.8, 7.5 under load(lead foot)
but me my mom and my sister went to florida with my aunt's jetta 2.0t, and we were gettin 40-45 mpg crusing at 75 down i95(from ny to daytona cost us less then 75 dollars to get down there
but the thing i am saying is the only way people will belive other people on here is if they have proof, i don't have any proof of my experience but, unless you have proof people are going to tend not to believe you.
